Roam Rigid

  • Designed and built on a hand-shaped, downturned last by Fred Nicole, ROAM Rigid is a semi-stiff slipper developed with Jason Momoa as part of the So iLL x On The Roam collection. ROAM Rigid features a three-way stretch knit entry with an elastic band stitched to a durable, comfortable, unlined vegan microsuede upper. This shoe is tensioned from under the toe to the back of the heel while the laser etched rand generates tension as well. The midsole is composed of a thin proprietary fiberboard with a center cut out for the flexibility/edging. The outsole is split and outfitted with Vibram XS Grip Rubber which extends in a wide band to the top of the heel. ROAM Rigid is ideal for all types of angles and perfect for those who like a sensitive slipper with a little more support (than ROAM Soft). This shoe is also more adaptable to sport climbing with good edging and great heel/toe hooking abilities. It is, perhaps, the best shoe in our lineup, to date, for edging overall.

Great shoe!

The Roams molded very well to my foot and despite not having straps or laces, feel secure on heel hooks and other technical moves. Very happy with these as my first slip on shoes

Great slipper

I've climbed in the Roam Soft for over a year and my only complaint was that the rubber was SO soft that tiny feet on slab were a challenge because I wasn't getting any help from the shoe, and my toes would fatigue as a result. These feel like the perfect amount of rigidity to feel secure without losing all sensitivity. They were comfortable right out of the box and really only took one session to feel pretty much broken in. The heel feels pretty secure as long as you're not doing super intense heel hooks.

very impressed and happy

Got these when I blew out my Unparallel Up Moccs. I have been really impressed with the quality, comfort and performance. More comfortable than my up moccs and the rigidity gives me more confidence and power in my footholds but not so aggressive that I have to take them off at the gym whenever I belay.

Great shoes!

Absolutely love these! The fit is great for people with more slim and thin feet and the quality is top notch. High performance jibs and volumes plus they are def the best looking shoes.

Thee Shoe!

These shoes are it! Being my size and weight 6’1” and 240lbs is rough finding climbing shoes that work! But I saw that if these worked for Jason they gotta be the ones for me! I was hesitant but now I’m in love! I climb 3 times a week and they have improved my climbing tremendously! I can trust my feet on slabs and not have to worry about slipping! Trusting SoIll for my next problem is a no brainer!

Heel Performance

The heel hooking capabilities of this shoe are unmatched. Essentially a talon (in shoe form) for the human foot.

The soft toe box combined with a split outsole allows for precision placement and power transfer on small foot holds and pockets.
